documentary showcase
Meir set out to create a film about a fascinating subject he had discovered, centering around a character he described as a modern-day treasure hunter. The setting itself is remarkable, featuring a unique landscape where wooden twigs are carefully placed upright to guide fish into nets—a method steeped in tradition and ingenuity. The story follows both the fisherman and the treasure hunters, weaving their lives together against the backdrop of this extraordinary place. Through Meir’s vision, the film becomes a captivating exploration of human connection, resourcefulness, and the timeless allure of discovery.
